Sorry to have already broken protocol by replying to a post before introducing myself - got a bit excited when I saw a question relating to an industry in which I worked for seven years

Hope that hasn't set me off on the wrong foot

So, I'm Debbie Williams (most call me Deb or Debs; it's only doctors and tax inspectors that call me Deborah) and I'm a marketer.

I launched my new business, debbidoo, a few days ago and stumbled across this forum when I was looking for something else (can't quite remember what - it's been a hectic couple of days). Anyway it looked like a good place to share ideas and meet other businessfolk, so here I am.

I:

• LOVE marketing (in the true, customer-satisfying sense)
• am fascinated by people and their beliefs and opinions
• have a guilty pleasure, in that I enjoy a fair amount of reality TV (Big Brother, Spa of Embarrassing Illnesses, Ladette to Lady, The Apprentice, Dragon's Den - for example); not necessarily because I have especially trashy taste when it comes to TV (I don't watch soaps or Jeremy Kyle), but because I'm so intrigued by other peoples' behaviour
• believe a problem shared is a problem halved (just ask my cats; they bear the brunt of my problem-sharing as the old man has learned to zone out when I go off on one)
• gesticulate wildly with my hands when excited or discussing something about which I'm passionate
• definitely talk too much

I hope I can make a useful contribution to the forum and promise to try very hard not to over-plug myself

That's about it, really.

Oh: the avatar is part of my company logo, and it's a self-portrait.

You are right - just to the right of the 'quote' button at the bottom of everyones post is a smaller button with an apostrophe (roll your mouse over and it will say 'Multi-quote this message'). Click on as many of these buttons as you want then scroll to the bottom and press 'post reply'.
