No. He can back up his claims. He just isn't going to do it on this forum.
Absolutely.
I've owned 27 businesses over the last 35+ years.
And I provide proof of none of them
because I don't need to. Just because some pratt demands it in a forum is not sufficient reason. Anyone who wants to believe my claims can believe them. And anyone who doesn't want to believe can just p*ss off, I don't care
People selling courses need to prove stuff and they come up with all kinds of "proof" (much of it fake and which the muppets who sign up for the course can't recognise as fake). I don't need to provide any proof because I'm not selling any services in that space.
Just to be clear, my service is
not about selling businesses.
I'm not a broker. So, future readers of this thread, please don't contact me to sell your business, that's not what I do.
If you own a small business and want to sell it, I've shared my knowledge on the subject in extensive articles on my website and elsewhere. Use that information and sell your business yourself. Don't contact me.
My service is this: If you own a business with turnover of between £5m and £50m, I'll advise you on appointing the right corporate finance firm / advisory firm / investment bank to sell your business. I'll advise you on Rule 3 Advisers, Designated Professional Bodies, Nomads etc. and who you need to appoint to assist you with your strategic plans.
I know which advisory firms (high end "business brokers") specialise in your sector, what their fees and fee structures are, who has cross border expertise and, depending on your sector, who has the required CQC / Ofsted / FCA or other regulatory experience.
Sometimes I advise businesses that have between £1m and £5m in t/o if they are highly profitable, but otherwise it's generally £5m+.
That's it. I don't sell businesses, I don't buy businesses, I don't do brokering.
I just tell other people who they should use to help them sell their business. Yes, that advisory work is my full time job.
