OK.
KM-Tiger's posts on this thread have been polite, measured and about what he believes in. You come in and say:
"Throwing around rhetoric about 'freedom and democracy' is unhelpful as that's really just a fallacy; we elect people that make decisions on our behalf, just because a particular decision is not to your liking doesn't mean you don't have freedom or democracy."
and
"If you are saying you KNOW the country will be better off, then there are obviously lots of reports and a wealth of supporting research that you have access to that the government don't..."
In the first you disparage his point of view as merely "throwing rhetoric around", implying that at least you understand the concepts of democracy and freedom.
In the second, full of hamfisted irony, you make a snide, fallacious comment which is personal.
You compound this with a little smugfest of:
"Personally, I'm solvent, smart and very capable;.."
You might be all or some of these things, (only solvency is easily provable), but the implication again is you are superior. This personal reference to your own superiority led to me commenting on you being an Ubermensch, an ironic observation on your self adopted role as part of the master race. (I don't think you are really, by the way.)
There is a democratic deficit in the way the EU is run, a simple explanation of which can be found on
Wiki. Whether or not you accept this is irrelevant, many people on both sides of the argument do accept it: the remedy is in question.
But throwing around dismissive comments about fallacies, rhetoric and alluding to a lack of EU sceptic information when a lot exists is, basically, unhelpful if not tiresome.
But I'm only an insolvent, stupid, incapable part of the demos. What do I know.
Now, please alert the mods. Gnarrff.
