Google Workspace Individual

Google has launched a new Workspace package called Individual. Aimed at solopreneurs, it adds a few features like an appointment booking page, bulk email and afew other bits, however, it is going on twice the price of their basic Workspace offering.

Have Google got the pricing proposition right?

Whilst I think these are great benefits, I am not sure - what do you think? Do the benefits outweigh the extra cost or should Google be helping startups/small businesses more with a preferential price?

Adds the following features:
Extended and engaging video calls
Get premium features for more productive meetings

Easy appointment scheduling
Let anyone with an email address schedule appointments with you in Google Calendar

Communicate with style
Connect with customers and grow your business with customizable layouts and multi-send in Gmail

Get personalized live help
Support whenever you need it

You can do all of that without Google, for free and without your data being sold off to all and sundry.

Personally I prefer how Microsoft365 works and you do seem to get a lot more with Microsoft365 than you do with Google Workspaces. I've just tried to have a quick look to see what you get with Google that could justify the slightly higher price but couldn't find anything over and beyond what you can do for free with Google tools already, all but a couple of minor little bits it isn't worth paying all the extra for.

My vote is still with M365 for now.
