Google Map Assist

I have recently been looking at touch local, Ufindus, Yell.com
On average (not including the free submission) people are paying a few hundred to be on a list to these companies.

Google has MAPS and these are free.
Done correctly you can now optimise this listing for your local area.
I have recently started to charge to help install people websites onto google maps.

Advantages:D

1) page one of google.
2) helps your website.
3) local targeted business searches.
4) no charge per click.
5) can be live within 24hours (i've put on live and at the top in 1 hour)

I was wondering what would be a reasonable price to charge for assisting someone who cant do this.

Please note i'm note selling the map but helping you get onto maps.

This is like seo of maps.

How about using it as a free offer which then gets you a lead for someone who wants more business from Google?

It would certainly build the trust factor and they should see instant results.

I've got two in actually..

The Utility warehouse - North East

And also a new business which just started called Happi6

I'm the first one on the maps....great !

The Utility Warehouse has the different Utility ( gas/electric etc ) links, I'll see if they have any effect.

Did you target the individual terms
EG gas supplier north east, cheaper electric north east

I just had a peep, looks easy peasy to list. Didnt bother tho because my business isnt local. Seems to be of more use to localised businesses, or am I wrong about this? - Gina :)
