Getting company relisted but can we change our mind?

Hi all,

We had a problem with Companies House and as a result they dissolved our company. It was an accounts paperwork error, and once we realised what had happened our accountant put in steps to get the company relished again. You can imagine the disruption this has caused along with lots of emotional pressure as inevitably our bank accounts were frozen.

The company has not been doing at all well, and in fact during the time the business account has been frozen, we have been heavily subsidising the company with our own personal funds.

Without going into great detail we have had singularly the most traumatic few months of our lives.

Anyway, this is the bit maybe you can help with.

Can we change our mind about reinstating the company? If we do so, what implications does it have on my partner as a director. During the interim both our bank and companies house advised us to continue traing as our intention was to reinstate. We have done this, but not taken a wage/dividends.

This means the premises still has stock etc. what happens to that?

Do we simply just pay our staff and notify everyone that we have ceased trading?

Have searched for info, but it's all conflicting.

Hope I have provided enough info.thanks if you help!

It has assets worth around £1500

It has Debts totalling about £5000, mainly HMRC :(

It has cash coming in each month, but it all goes on salaries and rent etc. so figure depends on what time of month. No reserve money.
