OK I know how these work but am running into problems as I don't know which of the zones are for Scottish Highlands. My courier says that Scotland will be charged at UK Mainland rate but the Scottish Highlands will be more expensive. When asked what they class as Scottish Highlands they say anything above Aberdeen? Any ideas on this or what have other people done. Even any recommendation for any extensions that might be useful?

Out of the box you could attempt to do this using the weight based shipping option matched to geozones by county - so (say) Shetland Isles, Highland etc would be in a different GeoZone that attracts a higher courier price.

However, I imagine your courier's shipping areas are based on postcode areas which makes this a bit inexact (although 'anything above Aberdeen' is probably not too far off Highland county).

You could try using this Formula Based Shipping extension - not tried it but it looks like you could use it to map postcode areas to shipping rates.

Is there any extension that allows you to set up shipping by postcode as this is the method my couriers are using and as you say it is more exact? Setting up the geo zones is not exact and I might get caught for any extra delivery costs which I don't like the sound of. Anyone any recommendations. I seen one extinctions but am not sure if it will work with UK post codes?
