Generating work/sales using email lists?

Hi,

anybody running a local service based business?

I've collected a lot of email contacts over the years i've been running the business and certain businesses seem to use their email contact list to generate sales.

How are you guys going about this if so? Emailing clients with discount codes/offers during quiet times, upselling products/services, courses etc???

Also aware when sending out mass emails they need to be done in smaller groups to avoid being flagged?

Use a proper email newsletter platform, which can manage sending and subscriptions.

If the list is relevant i.e. they know you or have come to you, then it is better than a totally cold list.

Make sure what you send is relevant and/or useful.

I'm video production so I send them video. I send them stuff that will help them. E.g. how to shoot a video themselves, how to present on camera, the kinds of things they can do to generate more business with video and marketing.

I have been doing a lot of rearch using youtube but the content there seems to be aimed at online brands. They serve a much bigger area than a local service based business coverings a radius of 25/30 miles so i'm not sure things like email marketing, manychat etc will convert the same.

Get the basics sorted - using a proper newsletter system, start communicating and keep testing.
