Fresh Install Windows 7

Hi

Ive done a fresh install of windows 7 with service pack 1, problem is the system refuses to carry out any updates, any ideas?

I've done the following (No particular order)

1) Cleared the files in software distribution folder
2) stopped BITS and Windows update, rebooted and started both
3) Changed settings in windows update to a different time and switched to manual then back to automatic
4) Downloaded windows auto detect / fix program, this found errors and apparently fixed them
5) Re installed windows 7 again

If I click update the green progress bar starts scrolling and gets stuck here, eventually comes back with unable to update, no error codes

You may also be conflicting with Windows 10 updates - which MS will keep nagging you about until you finally succumb.

I´d run a sfc scan to see if that helps
open a command prompt as admin and type in sfc /scannow
It will check windows files and try to fix any that are corrupt, I know its a fresh install so the files should all be fine but it still may help.
