Well at least the first one was.

Good to chat to everyone at the UKBF meet. A bit warm but still a great evening. Thanks to @Ozzy, @JCBrown and @Paul Kelly ICHYB for organising everything.

The good news is the sloping deck became less of a problem as the evening progressed.

It was a lovely evening, but I do think the great weather worked against us! However, the 80+ registrations show that there is an appetite for networking and I expect next month will be busier.

You can book that here.

Russian oligarch's yacht?
Yup, seized and converted (however, I don't think he was one of the really rich ones)!

Premier inn is nearby and cheap. Why would you want to drive into London? Everyone there last night was a local business.

Is London not the centre of the UK?

No - it's a chaotic crowded ghetto for people who like to strap hang on dirty public transport whilst getting infected. It is one of the two places on Earth (the other being NY) where rich people travel in Rolls Royces to get investment advice from the impecunious employees of banks who traveled by tube and bus.

It is that one European capital city that does not have coordinated 'Green-Wave' traffic lights and where the council still believes that the streets are paved with gold - and keeps digging them up to see if there is any left!

It is the city where regular cars are banned from the city centre, to make more space for taxis and busses that belch out clouds of blue Diesel smoke. It is that one city on Earth where hailing a cab is impossible and the busses are a law unto themselves.

So quite high up your "10 favourite cities" list then

Public transport is free in Luxembourg - and very clean!

Really?

I arrived at Waterloo and had a very pleasant walk along the embankment with everyone else enjoying the sunshine. Wasn't crowded nor did it feel like a ghetto. Methinks you are remembering a London from long ago - strap hangers haven't been a thing for years.
