I let a couple of offices in a building. A new tenant has asked for a copy of the fire procedure.

i assumed each tenant woukd be responsible for definign a meeting place and call roll on their staff?

certainly didnt thinkmit was down to me.

am i wrong?

It's my understand that as the landlord of a multi-tenant building (which I take from your question you are) that you have quite a number of responsibilities that got more stringent under the new Building Safety Bill. I'm not up to speed on it myself, but not least of all I believe it is down to you to set the evacuation procedure and ensure each tenant delivers training to their staff to meet your procedure.

I do not know the regulation, but every shared access building I have worked in has defined the assembly points.

What would happen if your tenant decided that by the front door is their chosen spot and someone is injured for whatever reason?

I would be surprised if the responsibility is not yours.

We have just had a fire risk assessment and it’s the leaseholders responsibility to publish fire instructions and ensure all occupants know where to assemble. If there are any fire extinguishers in the common areas to are supposed to ensure all occupants know how to use them.

Regulations have changed a lot in the last few years.
