Finding a sourcing agent - experience with Alibaba.com?

I'd like to find a sourcing agent to help me locate a suitable garment manufacturing company in Eastern Europe. I can see a few 'trade agents' in the areas I'd like to target on alibaba.com. Has anyone any experience of alibaba.com? From my own experience it does seem to have some quality manufacturers on there. Thoughts?

I think that Alibaba covers mostly China and Asia. If you need a manufacturer from Eastern Europe you should search other places.

You can try other sites too such as "globalsources" or "tradekey". Although they are good Alibaba is still the most common and popular site.

I'm Swedish and living in China and offer decent prices, I'm usually working with small enterprises and e-retailers. Just send me some information about your products and then I can have a look at it. Supplier verifications, anti-fraud and quality controls are our main business though.

There are 2 many soucing agent in China here,it can be regarded as a assistant or an office in China.I suggest you to use the agent from easten or southern China as most products are from these 2 areas.And it is better have a meet before the cooperation.

As said, alibaba is mainly for sourcing from China or Asia, it is not a good platform to go if you source something from europe.

I am alibaba expert in forum for consultant of international trade, actually, I am working as a sourcing agent and have my company registered in Hongkong.

In alibaba, yes, you can find a lot of manufacturers, but, I have many complaint everyday from clients like you that they are scammed or have troubles with suppliers after placing order with suppliers. There are good supplier and bad supplier, the important is how you can recognize them.

It is correct to use a sourcing agent to take care of your order, this will avoid trouble may happened. not trouble first and then solution.
