Factoring companies

Yes, but a bit more info needed about company size, frequency of payments, single use or continuous use, do you want the people you're invoicing to know you're factoring?

@Ian J is the resident expert, but even he would need a bit more.

Thanks for the reply.
Looking at a one off payment initially but could become monthly.
It doesn't matter if the company knows i'm factoring or not.

I've had a good seven days for enquiries so far.

I wrote a piece on my factoring blog about a single invoice factoring company that I didn't like who had just gone bust and one of their clients read it and telephoned me.

Unfortunately I was on holiday in Sardinia last week and had my phone switched off whilst wandering around Alghero old town but switched it on at lunchtime to hear my messages. After listening to the message I pressed the button to repeat it so that I could write down the phone number but unfortunately I pressed the wrong button and deleted it. Doh

Two days ago I had an enquiry from the contact form on my website and despite telephoning several times and emailing her I haven't managed to make contact and now doubt whether I ever will.

On Tuesday I had a call from someone saying that they were setting up a recruitment company and his colleague recommended that he speak to me as someone who could offer factoring and back office services to his new start. When I explained that I was a broker and it was my job to introduce him to the most appropriate factoring company for his needs he said that he would speak to his colleague and come back to me on the following day. Needless to say he didn't.

I'll probably hear from him again in six months when he wants me to rescue him from the awful deal that he managed to do himself.

Never mind c'est la vie
