I think that is a bit more relevent than making stupid statements about fake fans

Alistair

To be honest Alistair if you cannot see that someone liking a page BEFORE they have even read it makes that a fake "like" then I just give up and perhaps you should to.

I'm done as this is becoming farcical.

Cheers

And i would think as far as most business pages go most people will like then read and possibly then unlike.

Doesn't that then defeat the whole premise of what you're trying to sell? What would be the point of someone paying for 250 or so fans and then watching them all leave? We've lost very few of our genuine fans.

Lmao this is turning into being laughable now. They bought 250 likes a few days ago, Maybe as a test purchase, maybe they want to start marketing more on facebook.

Their page has been established for well over 18 months - are you saying they only managed to get 38 fans of their own in the at time despite links on their home page?

To start questioning why they ONLY bought 250 fans really a bit ridiculous.
They bought them because they wanted to, just as you are not buying because you choose not to.

Alistair

The point you're missing here Alastair is that I genuinely WOULD buy into this service IF you could get me genuine fans who are genuine single parents resident in the UK. I would actually be tempted to go for one of your premium packages if it works. All I have asked is for proof and I have wittled this down to you getting 250 new targeted followers for someone on here. That costs £10 - that's all - and yet you won't do it.

If that doesn't ring alarm bells, nothing does.
Why are you so reluctant to invest just £10 and prove your business.

That, not the questioning you're receiving, is what's farcical on this thread and you can bet that if any one of the other posters on here were offering this service and were genuine, they'd have sorted this once and for all.

Why ARE you so reluctant to invest £10 to gain more business?

I am not reluctant to invest any amount of money in my business.
I have sorted this out by providing recommendations as was asked of me, I have answered every single question asked of me. Why now should i give away freebies when i have given all the proof already.

I am done with this thread for now and will be back in a few hours

For obvious reasons i will not say where i get my Facebook Users from.
What i will say is through our vast network channels we have access to possibly millions of Facebook users.
We have people who are genuinely interested in doing business on facebook.
They range from personal users to business users.
We do NOT pay these people any money as quite basically there is a massive drive starting at improving Facebook as a selling/service solution and they want to be part of it. We are simply putting the 2 together so to speak.

Similar to placing an advert in a newspaper or anywhere else. We are able to target products/services to a certain extent.
Just like that newspaper we are not able to Guarantee sales.
It really is not as complicated as everyone is trying to make it.

Alistair

what a load of twaddle

You're unprepared to invest a measly £10 in promoting your business but expect us to invest ours when all you can do is give us 2 testimonials, one who has few fans on either FB or Twitter?

Sad. So very sad - as said before, I am genuinely interested in adding genuine followers and would go for as many you could give. The fact you're not committed enough in this to spend £10 (or less, as this obviously includes your own margin) speaks volumes.

If we had been so reluctant to spend less than £10 to promote our business I don't think we'd have got far off the ground either...

@ Barganmania

Am I right in thinking that the way you get the 'likes' is by asking all your facebook page customers to agree to be added to the list of people who 'like' other people's pages?

I ask this because I notice all your facebook 'likes' are from pages not personal accounts.

If so that would mean anyone who signs up for the service will have their pages filled with 'likes' for other pages that they know nowt about.

Is this correct?

It also means I can guess fairly easily who ones clients are....via your own pages 'likes'.

Massive apologies if I am incorrect , but I think any user should be informed of how the 'likes' are made available.

I note you say this in terms:

"You also understand and agree that the Service may include advertisements and that these advertisements are necessary for Newfacebookfan to provide the Service. You also understand and agree that the Service may include certain communications from Newfacebookfan , such as service announcements and administrative messages, and that these communications are considered part of Newfacebookfan membership"

Are people just paying you to use their page as a vehicle for you to recruit more customers?I think you should rethink this aspect. It makes your offer much less attractive.

You didn't answer my queries in this post btw??

*is off to polish the car...again.

This thread could go on forever. Why don't we all just like eachothers pages? free? I bet we could beat 25 likes :D

Likes are easy to get anyway for business pages. I don't see any reason to pay for them, all you have to do is have a live feed running on your website and people click through anyway out of interest to see what special offers you've got running over on Facebook or Twitter.

Paying a tenner to get Likes from people that haven't read about your business is just a waste of time and a false feeling of progress. It's like seeing your visitor stats kick off with 14 visits..only to realise they were all friends and family and will never buy your products.

Wow - How this post has progressed?

So the party shop and a charity page have some likes now and they are businesses you have worked on. Whats the FB link for the party shop?

Im discounting the charity one as people will be more likely to like a charity/awareness page than a business page so trhe business page - is there much interaction on that page?

Silky wants a proven example - why not use my page? All i need is people in the UK who like parties to like my page? That way you prove to people of the thread this method works - If you cant even get me a few fans (and most people like parties) then obviously your method doesnt work and thats probably why you dont want to do it.

Can i just clarify you dont create the facebook person pages - they are actual real people?

Esk - Check out the big (facebook like) group on linked in! I used that to get me to 25 likes and then deleted most of them - Then i started asking question,s having competitions and liking pages which i found interesting but where in the UK - now i have some interactions but i want more fans and more interactions so am working hard to get more fans - If bargain can prove the likes are worth having then i can pay for the likes and maybe more will follow and my page will look busier.

Think i only have 209 likes but at least most are genuine

Given the fact the testimonial is for a party page, there should be a database of people just ready and waiting for you Gem, I'd have thought this would be an easy one to set up and probably not actually cost anything to Bargainmania.

Actually I may be coming round to this being a viable business.

This thread started off with what appears to be a fake, or at the very least suspect, business looking for some facebook likes.

Who should come along, but a "business" selling fake likes.

So basically it's a business model selling fake customers to fake businesses. Or so it would appear, great, but at some point the fake businesses will run out of play money. Until then though fleece the fools ;)

What is the advantage of having this URL anyway if already have your own website?

Haven't you heard of social marketing? Your website showcases your products, Facebook, Twitter, your blog ( etc)are for customer interaction - hopefully cementing relationships and leading to sales.

It's far easier to direct someone to your FB page if it has an easy memorable url rather than a long set of numbers.

Of course, I have a FB link on the front page of my website.

Just wondered how having this URL is going to be any better than that?

Like Silky said, if someone asks you about it it's much easier to say a URL (facebook.com/example) than it is to say facebook.com/67859423, for example. It just makes it easier for customers, and they don't have to go through your website to get there. The easier you make it for them, the more likely they'll do it, I've found.
Also, we've found that people assume that your URL will be facebook.com/example, and may type this in rather than searching for it, in which case, anything that makes finding you easier must be a bonus, no?

Maybe start your own thread instead of hijacking this :|
I was invited into this thread to show buying likes works, I am happy with what I have received so far , and have been promised this is just the beginning, then I tried to add a little joviality as it was getting quite heated at one point, now I am being told to get out the thread by somebody that was not taking part this afternoon :| weird. Dont worry I will let you put the last jigsaw piece in :)

I think what Massey meant (and he'll correct me if I'm wrong), was that, as this is a thread about facebook URLs and fans, it'd perhaps be more appropriate for you to start a thread yourself to discuss and promote your cause. It's unlikely that you'll be able to post the last message on this thread anyway, as the point of the forum is that people are adding to it all the time, be they older members or new ones. There's a Charity and Fundraising forum for causes like yours, I'm sure a thread in there will generate interest :)

I do know what it is about, I was invited in here by bargainmania as he was being picked on. He was being asked to show examples of it working. I am the example people were asking for.I am wondering if you were out this afternoon and just flicked through those pages. What I had to say was relevant to this post. I can post where I want as long as it is about the subject matter, It was. The comment can I be the last to post was actually a joke, I also asked if anybody wanted a cup of tea.I will contiue to post about the subject matter.I have 2 threads in charity section thank you :):):)

He's not being picked on Millie, we're simply asking for more proof of the pudding. I've given some marketing advice, I've suggested something that would cost no more than £10 and that would stop the cynicism, I even want to use his system if he can prove it works in getting targeted fans. If someone can't be arsed to spend £10 on promoting their own business then they're seriously limiting their opportunities - he could have secured a number of customers on the forum on the back of it.

I am the proof , yes I am a charity cause so any exposure is good exposure, but I do think it would work elswhere, as long as it was not a niche market, everybody needs tyres, everybody needs haircuts etc, you can watch me if you like as living proof , watch my likes rise over the next few weeks, watch me work hard to keep them. Once you have them keep them interested. My facebook page is in awareness link of my signature, like it then watch. I am also a single parent , was it you looking for single parents, or was that someone else .Nick

Yep, it's me looking for single parents in the UK. Not everyone wants a single parent holiday unfortunately, hence the reason I want Alastair to prove (with the princely sum of a £10 giveaway to someone) that he can achieve a targeted following. His refusal to spend this tiny promotional sum breeds the suspicion on here I have to say - I'd certainly rise to the challenge in his shoes, unless of course I wasn't sure I could do what I was claiming.

Nick there has already been another paying customer posting on here about how happy they have also been with the service, I think it makes a difference to some if they are FREE for some reason.

The first is a charity and not targeted, and Nick's said, anyone's interested. The second probably also untargeted?

What's so difficult to understand in this? Can you prove that you can provide targeted users? Can you answer me this - if you don't think your business is worth promotion of £10, then why on earth should we?! You either have no idea about running a business, or otherwise you don't believe you can prove your product. Oh and by the way, were I still working in consultancy, the advice I have given you would have cost one hell of a lot more than £10....but then perhaps if you'd had to pay for it you may have taken some notice.

We have more testimonials than you can shake a stick at and they're very effective in converting customers - my whole point to Bargainmedia. We have also given away free holidays as part of our promotion budget when targeting the press - and believe me they cost a hell of a lot more than £10. (If you follow the link in my profile it'll take you to our site.)

@Bargainmania
p.s. As well as testimonials for your products, I'd also show what you're selling. Few people would buy a design for a page without seeing a portfolio of the designer's work - I can't find anywhere any of the designs you've done for Facebook pages.

This is obviously something that we very much understand but as i have stated on previous posts we are working on A new Business page idea,It is a new way to sell on facebook. When this is completed you will see examples of this. I have already posted a link in the forum of a very rough example and would be only to happy to do so again?

In all honesty I think it's too late now. You've shown such reluctance on this ridiculously miniscule promotion that it's bread cynicism and disbelief and probably turned most of us off. If it's so difficult to convince you to promote your own business I dread to think what it's like actually doing business with you - sorry, but that's just the way it is.

I may eat my words if someone on this thread suddenly gets hundreds of new followers...somehow I get the impression this is unlikely.
