Hi all,

I am looking at different management structures and just wanted some advice on the executive chairperson position.

I wondered if it was possible to have a company that is owned 50/50 by two people, one of whom is the chairperson, with the other being the MD.

Is this possible, are there any legal problems with this such as liability?

Or it is just a case that they are just names/titles and that the titles do not have any legal responsibity attached to them? I assume the titles have no bearing on who is legally responsible for the company as it is owned 50/50 by the MD and chairperson?

thanks as always

Dan

sounds unfair, why not just be md's?

why not just get a shareholders agreement setup so that you both have equal powers.
