EORI number?

New territory for us post Brexit. Ordering some parts from Germany, less than 200 euros. EORI number requested, and trying to sort as we speak.

Is this fairly automatic or can we expect to wait a while?

Fairly automatic I think? Mine is our VAT number with three additional zeroes appended.

We're not VAT registered & if memory serves, after completing the online registration earlier this year we received the number more or less straight away. If you are VAT registered then your EORI number will be based on your VAT No as scstock has said.

Hey,

It's very easy - i did it a few years ago when i was importing something from China.

It's pretty straight forward and you can do it online and they get back to you very quickly aswell.

Once i'd found our Ltd company UTR number it took a few minutes...

This ^^^ The one (and only one) supplier for whom I had to get an EORI no longer asks for it. Go figure!

In our case the shipper initially asked for a VAT number, we're not registered, and then the EORI.
