OK simple question - Which tool/software is the best? I have been trying 1 or 2 out but does anyone know of a really good one?

Many Thanks

Answer would depend on how you want to use it... Do you want to extract all emails from a site or group of sites (which you specify) or do you want to extract emails by your bot searching google for different keywords and going on sites ranking for those keywords ?

I basically want to get all the email addresses from a few site - I have been using atomic email hunter (free version).

It seems ok it scraps emails from the sites and also from keywords etc.

Any other ideas?

Great screencast. It's kind of sad that not more people are aware of the power of services like Dapper, which IMO, can really really increase their productivity.

There's a very good chance using these types of tools will get the user flagged as a spammer and blacklisted.

And so they should be because they are spammers.

I am not using it for spamming lol we want to use it for a collection of sites we run to help us collect data etc

I hate spam more than most people :D

One thing I will say about scraping email addresses is that if you can scrape them, so can the other crowd of email harvesters so there is a very high chance that the person you will email is already receiving lots and lots of other emails.

This is one reason why I never post email addresses on the web.

Can you explain why you need it to collect data for websites that you run?

Yes bdw - we have recently acquired a couple of sites, however there is an issue with some of the software so it was suggested that a tool like a scraper could help us access some of the old email addresses within the site fast than we could do it, that's all, I am not interested in spamming anyone lol :D

However I am not sure a scraper will help anyway ha ha

I am afraid I still don't understand. Why would you need scraper software to find an email address on a website that you own? Can't you just do a site search for the "@" symbol or something?
