Thank you for your reply but it doesn't answer my question...

I'm not looking for a developer, I am looking for a forum

Just introducing myself as your first part of your question was just wondering if there are any other drupal uses (users) out there.

But if that's your attitude my friend, shove it.

Ok to clear up any misunderstanding .... yes my original Q was simply to ask if any drupal developer could tell me where they hang out. It may not have been phrased that precisely but that was what I asked.

I am fairly new to drupal and am aware that 99.999% of any issues I have in creating a site will have been experienced by someone else - hence asking for a resource that i can turn to to search for help.

My reply to MattyB wasnt meant to be rude, but his reply said he was a developer and listed his work - i perceived this as abit of self promotion that didnt answer my enquiry. He didnt have any forum leads. He may have been offering his help, but i prefer not to waste people's time if the problem can be solved with a search in the appropriate place.

Cezary's reply is spot on... I followed his link and found http://drupal.org/forum/22 where i was able to search for and find results for the error message I have.

My introduction was to let you know that there are Drupal developers on this forum. I was only giving you a bit of self promotion so you can see that some I've had some experience with drupal.

I too use the main drupal and drupal groups forums, but sometimes find there is to much going on and not enough time for all of your replies to be answered, and also it's sometimes to actually find what your really looking for.

In my next reply I was going to list some sources.

There we go - we both misunderstood each other.... :)

I read the ecommerce forum here too - where any request for quotes/hosting etc gets a million PMs or offers for paid help - I thought I'd inadvertantley fallen into the same hole which is why I though it was a bit of self promo.

But Drupal developers aren't like that.

Friends now... ;)

It was a little bit of self promo to be honest, but only so you knew you were in good company.

dunerider, as you've found out you won't receive much attention on the drupal.org forums.

The best way of getting a quick response to a problem is either using the IRC chat (http://drupal.org/irc) or joining a mailing group (http://drupal.org/mailing-lists)
