Dramatic increase in Eurozone sales?

Happy New year everyone!

I was worried about the sterling/euro exchange rate but am actually getting a lot more orders from countries which have the euro purely because of the exchange rate. The increase has been quite dramatic - mainly from Netherlands, Germany, Spain and Finland.

This is a nice surprise and makes up a little for the forward ordering problems I am having with goods from the Eurozone.

Anyone else noticed the effects of the low pound?

We've noticed a marked increase in orders through our martial arts shop from outside of the UK, and not just from the Eurozone. Perhaps we should keep Labour in power for a bit longer, their awful mis-management of our economy is having some surprising positives

I am also getting an increasing number of Eurozone orders due to the exchange rate and am currently investigating how best to send large parcels to mainland Europe.

I suppose it's one silver thread in the lining of a generally dark economic cloud.

Ive not personally experienced this but some of my clients are reporting this.
the lower the £ drops the cheaper it becomes for them to buy from UK, we are suffering whilst countries with the euro are benefiting buying from UK since a year ago they had to spend 1.6 euro to get a £ now only 1 euro or ther abouts.

Interesting we send a lot of Jet ski parts around the world.

Should help our European sales enough to counteract any down turn in the UK market.

We have always had quite a fair few orders from Europe, but noticed a sharp increase to parts of Europe we hadn't previoulsy sold to. Not sure if it is the currency etc of the fact we have noticed a lot of foreign search engine bots on our site lately

getting enquiries from malta, greece and other eu based countries

but trying to be picky as the postage issues can be a pain...

 

Just had an enquiry from Italy from a dealer who wants to import our quad bike products owing to the favorable exchange rate

I have always sold a fair bit to European countries, but have found the postage calculations a real pain. Mostly I have sent small/medium sized orders, which Royal Mail can easily cope with (unless they lose them which is anothervstory entirely), but some of the orders are now getting quite sizeable and there are all sorts of limitations on RM's international services.

Without wishing to hijack deniser's thread, does anyone have recommendations for cost effective international courier services? Interparcel appears to offer competitive rates, but personal recommendations would be welcome as my empire continues to expand.

I'm getting loads of queries for my training resources from overseas, particularly the US, Australia and Europe. I'm also lucky that I don't have to worry about postage costs on the majority of what I offer, so it's all good for me. However, I'd much rather our economy got back on its feet!
