Hi all,

I'm looking for someone with some indoors storage space within 50 (ish) miles of Peterborough. If your further afield then I would probably consider that too!

I need to store this tank indoors, approx footprint 6x2m http://www.aquaticimpact.co.uk/Exhibitions.htm

The offer is £200 pcm flat rate. If we can keep the tank filled with water and use the storage place occasionally for photoshoots (we hire the tank for underwater film/media use) then we can arrange a revenue share as well.

Anyone got spare space they want to earn money from?

Be a bit of a job that Willitbe if it's filled with water. Seems to me a good deal though and am thinking that a sub aqua club would love that if they could rent a small hall and the storage fee might cover that. An idea possibly OP. Might be worth contacting the org. The URL is below. Rob

Does that tank come apart?. Or is it in one piece?

No it's not flat pack sadly! It pretty much stands in storage as it does in the picture.

I think the rental possibilities are good. Currently we rent it out to major exhibitions but at the other end of the market a lot of people just want to shoot for a couple of hours and would travel to the tank and save a fortune. There is no way smaller production companies can pay for the tank to be transported and setup elsewhere.

The ability to use the tank is less importent than plain indoor storage but could be a good earner for both parties if it was possible.

How tall is it?. The reason i asked if it was flatpacked was that we have the space, it is just the entrance that is the problem, we go down a ramp and turn quite sharply, so i think it wouldn't get around the corner.

Cheers Will. We are in Leicester aswell..

Leicester sounds good...

Its 1.9m tall. If its possible to fit I'm sure we can find a way.

I have to ask... Have you tried? :D

I dare not try as Richard would have me cuffed and shipped to Guantanamo Bay if he saw me.

How high is the tank? Although the internal hight is cathedral like the actual door into the place is very wide but quite low for some reason. It an old laundry building so I guess they had no need for high doors.

No, height and space, no problem...Access the issue i think, we can most things in here but swinging a 6 metre glass box around the angle may be a tall order even for me..

It's acrylic actually, and stronger than you would believe! But I can't deny its heavy and certainly a two man job to lift ;)

As it stands your the best option so far - What about the potential to use the tank in situe?

Obviously that leads to questions regarding security, insurance blah blah blah but such thing are solvable. Is there potential?

The property has recently had a zoned alarm system installed. We obviously insure the building but tenants are responsible for contents insurance.

It is certainly worth exploring the possibility of storing the tank on our premises. If you are interested, please phone me on 07970 284848 to discuss in further detail.

Cheers
