Do u Click the Link in Signature?

Surely that depends more on the quality/relevance of the individual website than anything else? In other words, the fact that they've clicked a link from here to get there might be relevent but behaviour once you get to a site isn't releated to the link-clicking from here......

....is it?

I click on links, I love being nosy! As you say Simon, your behaviour once you have clicked on a link is entirely due to the content of a site. The design, ease-of-use and copy are all crucial.

However, I would say if a forum user 'knows' the person whose link they have clicked on due to reading a number of their posts, they will be more likely to stay longer out of interest, regardless of the quality of the site.

Yes I also click on links sometimes, but more important than individuals clicking on links, isn't it good from a search engine point of view to have a link in your signature?
Barrie

I click on links all the time. I'm just nosey.

The backlink is a strong incentive too and I've just spent the last half an hour trying to get PayPal to play ball so I can subscribe and get it displayed as a url (anyone else has this problem?).

3 to 5 days and I'll be in the land of the living again!

Seasoned internet marketers would tell you its one of the most effective marketing secret and yet the most unused one. Many people do click on signature links. You can prove it by using some ad tracking tools out there. I have one most effective one I am using, please feel free to get in touch to discuss more on the subject.
