Do Red Bull do other things than the drink?

Red Bull still appear to be everywhere with their marketing, advertising, sponsorship, etc. but the drink itself appears to have had it's day (or is it still popular?)

Do they produce anything else that justifies all the marketing they do or is the drink itself still popular enough to warrant it?

They sell the product all over the world. Very popular.
"Chaleo Yoovidhya, made his fortune when, in the mid-1980s, he teamed up with an Austrian marketing executive to turn his energy drink known as Kratindaeng, or Red Bull, into a global sales success.

Today the extended Yoovidhya family is believed to be worth more than $20bn (£16bn). The Red Bull logo is now seen all over the world, in particular sponsoring spectacular stunts and sporting events."

Some 20 different soft drinks, 40+ profit making events, sponsorship and endorsements everywhere. Selling water for c.a. 60p a can wholesale seems to be a profitable affair!

A good few years ago I went on a lads trip to Prague.

We were in a bar and a friend was trying to explain to the barman that he wanted vodka and Red Bull. After a good ten minutes trying to explain, the bar man appeared to understand and came back with vodka and a can of Red Bat. The barman turned to me and asked me what I wanted, to which I replied “I’ll have a vodka and Red Bat please”. The bar man said “ah! Red Bat” and then served me a vodka with a can of Red Bull. You had to be there and fairly plastered to appreciate the funniness of the situation.

That's part of my point, in the late 80's, 90's and up until 5/10 years ago everyone was drinking Red Bull- Nowadays I see far less people drinking it (maybe it's just me getting old :( )

Is it one of those things like cigarettes where we in the UK may be consuming less but worldwide it is still rising - Or is it still just as popular in the UK but I don't notice it so much?

They own a football club in Germany, I believe. They have also looked at investing in English football clubs over the last couple of years.

Those who used to drink Red Bull have progressed onto this:

I'm not allowed energy drinks :) which is a good thing really.

Red Bull... never even tasted it, so I wouldn't know whether it was something or nothing I'm missing out on...

Once the operation is over though... I might give it a whirl. :D

In Las Vegas they recommended Stolichnaya Vodka with Red Bull... And we never looked back :-)

They own a European football club (Red Bull Salzburg), an American football club (New York Red Bulls), a Formula 1 team (Red Bull Racing Formula F1 Team), and many many more.

They own 5–6 huge sports stadiums too.

    I think they’re not big; they’re enormous.
