I have just had an interesting conversation with another business group on FB who are quoting the FBU and the IFB (who knew they existed) stating that of the 5.6m businesses in the UK 5.3m were family businesses.
Apparently, the definition of a family business is:
' one where the majority of the shares are owned by the person who started the business, at least one member of the family is involved in the business (so sole traders are counted as family businesses). '
So, this 4.6m of you who work alone, you are a family business!
I think that this statement and figures are a
load of tosh - what do you think?
