Design, Print & Distribution Price?

Hi guys,

I was just wondering how much you do/would be happy to pay for design, printing and distribution of leaflets?

At the moment, i am thinking £165 for the design, print and door-to-door distribution of 1000 single sided A5 130gsm Gloss Leaflets in colour. After some research i have found one site on the internet offering the same service at around £205, but i would also like to hear your thoughts and opinions as business owners and managers?

We have used a company to produce 2500 A5 Leaflets for £80 plus vat and then £25 per 1000 distributed so ths is is slightly more cost effective than your offering.

Hi businessteam,

Id just like to point out that i am not offering this yet, but evalutating an idea

From my costs i would not be able to offer such a deal for that much, but as there are no other places offering this combined service in my city i believe it could still work. I am not looking for a mass of clients as it would only be small time, so just one or two a week at first would be my aim, do you think this is possible at these prices?

I did look at your prices and didnt think they were too far off the mark.... thought you would be interested in a similar comparison.

To test the market it would be worth getting your service out there any see if you have any take up...

I would say that it will massively vary depending on location and quality of design etc...

However, personally I think that the price you have been quoted is about spot on for a 'good' design, print and dist company.

If your happy with the price and the company go with then, you will need to approve the proof for your design anyway so if you are not 100% just ask for changes to be made until you are!

What profit margin would you suggest for this kind of business? At 165 im on around a 53% profit margin, which i understand is rather high but with what i believe low competition in my area i think this is possible and, with an aim of doing just 1/2 'transactions' per week this would be right to make a decent profit. What do you think? Is 53% to high?
