We are working with a new supplier in the EU, they use DPD as their courier and when we placed our initial order with them they said DPD will only deliver to our businesses registered address, saying something about UK customs.

This seems both dumb and unlikely. I think maybe "registered address" is getting confused in translation?

Can anyone who receives B2B deliveries from the EU, especially via DPD, provide any clarification on this one way or the other?

They probably just meant a business address rather than a domestic address.
UK Customs certainly don’t care at all where something is delivered once it has cleared customs and duties paid. Private individuals as well as businesses can be the importer.
What they do need is details on who is the importer into the UK who should be based in the UK.
