Delivery Drivers pay

When I used to work for the local Dominos pizza it was minimum wage (over 21 rate for everyone, including over 21's) plus tips - which were pretty good.

They also did a rate for owner drivers who own and fuel their own cars and got £1.50 per delivery they made- you could take 2 at once so these guys tended to get a fair bit of cash. Of course this was before fuel was at the price it is now.

I seem to remember they also had another rate for owner drivers that was a basic plus a per drop rate.

I used to deliver pizzas before minimum wage came in - I got £2.50 per hour, plus tips, plus 50p or £1 per delivery depending on distance. Although the wage was low I used to make it up in deliveries because I was efficient, knew the town well and was fast (NOT speeding, related to local knowledge and not faffing about talking to people I knew when out and about), so was often given 3/4 deliveries at a time. Plus a free pizza (although not guaranteed time to eat it) per shift, and as many cans as I could drink for 10p a can.
