CV Writing Agencies - Cropping Up Every Day!

Hi All,

About Four years ago I thoroughly looked into starting a CV writing agency.

I completed a detailed search of the on line market and completed extensive research on the competition at the time. I have since then always kept an eye out on the market over the years, I also purchased a few domain names at the time as well that looked good (And are looking better now).

So recently in the last year especially I have seen dozens of these types of consultancies pop up, they are all over Gumtree and free advert websites as I type.

So I'm starting to think I was right at the time and should of invested a little time and money in the idea? I still have a few great domain names I guess...

My question is why now? Why do you think this is? my guess would be the amount of exposure that large businesses are getting for for laying off large amounts of staff combined with the fact unemployment has been reaching record highs and the fact its a fairly low start up business.

Any thoughts???

You can still start the business - there is always room (consider niche-ing).

As for why now - I would say it is because people are more connected. The power of the web means that finding someone to do something is only a click away.

And, it's not a bad business idea so of course people will copy others.
