I've been buying some items from a company in Germany for several years without issue and receive a separate invoice for customs clearance, import duty etc.,
On this occasion only half of the order arrived - one box stuck in German depot and returned to sender - but a customs invoice was raised for the total.
The second box has now arrived and an additional invoice has been raised.
Am I right in thinking the charges are set against the total value of the goods? So paying the first invoice should suffice?
PS: It gets better/worse. The delayed part of the order is incomplete.
