I had a dispute with a USA hosting company and want to claim a refund on payments maid to them from my credit card. Is this easy to do? Any idea of the process?
If you've exhausted all options for resolving the dispute directly with the provider, then contact your bank and tell them you wish to dispute the charge.
You should contact your credit card provider (not necessarily your bank).
They will take the details and ask you what you have done to try and resolve the problem. A lot of people phone the credit card company first, and they only turn them away, telling them to try and resolve it first.
If you have, the credit card will then investigate.
From memory there is a minimum amount and also a timescale to open a dispute, but I'm not 100% sure on the detail.
Reclaiming for credit card refunds is not always easy as you will need to follow up the sequential process regarding this. You should contact with your credit card provider. You must have full documents related to credit card uses and its purchase. Carry these documents along with you. Verify from your banker and credit card provider whether you are eligible for credit card refund or not. If you are eligible for the same then apply for refund. One important thing is that keep documenting proof of entire process so that you can use the same in future for legal task if some unusual happens.
