COURIER FOR LARGE PARCELS NEEDED HELP!

Hi everyone,

just started up my new business but need a courier for large parcels and and finding it very hard to find one in this current situation.

Have around 500 orders outstanding that we took on a preorder basis.

They will be boxed up :

200cmx 120cm x80cm and weigh around 35kg.

Can anyone recommend me the best solution please.

Non standard for most couriers I would have thought. Can't be palletised.


You've tried DX? APC? Both deal with very large parcels but as its not something that can go on pallet or in a cage its more handling so expect higher prices.

You'd have been better sorting out courier prior to putting items for sale, among other things you'd know how much extra to charge.

Oh and there is no guarantee any courier will be willing to take all the parcels in one day - may have to be spread over multiple days if they don't have the capacity locally to handle.

ive tried companies like XDP and Tuffnels but they wouldnt help us out since we are a start up.

Wouldn't help because you are a start up?

Strange. Perhaps they have financial policies that start ups cannot do. Factoring invoices for example or no spare capacity for the business.

we use Tuffnells every day for our big stuff up to 200kg. At our ‘special’ rates your batch would be worth over £13k nett to them. I’m surprised they won’t do it even as a one-off.
