Hello,
I run a start up “technology” property renovation company where we are currently using “Voipfone” to provide some limited outgoing calling functionality, and then mostly call forwarding to surveyors/contractors “out in the field” – i.e. landline advertised numbers redirecting to mobile phones of our contractors.
I really like being a Voipfone customer (great customer service), but can’t find a way to make their services cost effective as we scale to the following model:
2 office workers ..
· taking inbound calls from customers (1000+minutes/month)
· making outbound calls to customers (500+minutes/month)
· making outbound calls to colleagues out-of-the-office – i.e. contractors on their mobile phones (1000+minutes/month)
Most of our calls, from customers and colleagues, receiving and outgoing, are from mobile phones, and from a colleague/contractor perspective, we can’t rely on the fact that the contractors will have 4G internet so to allow the internal company calls to go over voip and be free.
As we scale, Voipfone’s pricing packaging of 10p/min to mobiles (admittedly, less if you buy bulk minutes) means that for every 1000 minutes of outbound calls will cost us £100 – and this bill could easily rise to a couple of hundred pounds as we scale further! My aim is to find a telephony system that we can stay with as we scale.
Having done some research, the alternative I am considering is RingCentral, although can’t really find much online regards to positive feedback for this US company. The initial package I’d be looking at is their standard one to begin with, which costs £13/month/user…far cheaper than Voipfone with 750 minutes included.
The other cost I do currently pay to voipfone is £13/month for the phone numbers themselves...not sure what the equivalent ringcentral will be.
I’m sure that my predicament isn’t a new one, so keen to get some advice from people who have experienced my challenge before.
To be honest, Voipfone have worked great for us in our initial establishment as a business, so would love to find a way that I can make their pricing system work as we now heavily invest in marketing & expansion!
Thanks in advance.
