Hi,

Forgive me if i am no actually allowed to post this - i checked in the pinned threads above and it doesn't say.

I am after some services such as drafting of contracts etc. for our business. Our company started off relatively small but has grown fairly quickly in the last few months with ideas for some expansion / further growth. I am after a service to have some contracts drawn up with some certain requirements which cover our expansion etc too.

What are the ballpark costs for something like this? I understand there may be different levels / experience which come into play.. But feel free to PM me and i will assess the situation.

Also would it be more beneficial to go for someone local or will it work just fine if its done via email?

I agree with obscure, in order to ensure that your contracts/documents are legally compliant and enforceable you need a qualified lawyer (either a solicitor or barrister) who specializes in the particular area of law. I personally would not seek the services of a generalist lawyer as they charge more or less similar fees however their level of expertise is inferior.

For example each of our lawyers specialise in a particular area of law and they carry out services only within that area. We discovered that this approach is better for all parties involved as clients obtain a superior service whilst the lawyers are able to provide the service in an efficient way without having to research any area of law they are not familiar with.

I also think you would need a solicitor. Probably easiest to go local as then you can suss them out. Re costs, would they not be able to give you a rough indication over the phone, or some will offer a free initial consultation. Get a few quotes and choose the one you like.
