Need some advice please. I have been selling small Christmas decorations that contain Ferrero Rocher for the last few year with no issues.
I have been told legally I cannot sell them this year because they contain nuts and they are out of the packaging (they are still foil wrapped with labels on.
I have said I will put a sign on the table and put ingredients label and sell by dates on each one.
What are the rules on this situation please

Have they given any more information as to why they believe it’s illegal?

Natasha’s Law would apply as it’s a pre packed food item which means that it must have a full ingredients list attached to each one, but that’s the case for all pre packed items and not just those containing nuts.

It sounds like the person who told you this is a bit twitchy, are they the event organiser? Or is it some caveat in their insurance? As it’s definitely not illegal (assuming you’re meeting the requirements such as labelling).

If it helps you could always get some kind of sticker like these to make sure it isn’t missed that they contain nuts: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Contains-L...Stickers/dp/B08HVK19ZM/ref=asc_df_B08HVK19ZM/

I seem to recall each ferrero rocher comes in a paper cup with the ingredients printed on the bottom. Leave the choc in the cup and all is well.

I know two people hospitalised due to allergies, you have to be very careful.
