Hi,

I'm interested about second hands good quality clothes(CREAM) mainly for a market in Poland. Looking for supplier, but ONLY cream with no stains, no holes, in very good condition, new or nearly new

If u want to get into new market in Eastern Europe, please get in touch.

I may be able to help you export to romania if you're interested. there's a second hand clothing shop right in my town, they sell UK and german exports. I personally have never been too keen on second hand clothes, mainly because in most of Europe new clothes are quite cheap. you may be more successful in eastern europe, particularly if you sell kids clothes. rents and overheads should be quite low. but unless you know someone in the country where you intend to export, I wouldn't even bother. I'm also hearing people who enter this business buy in TONS, which I find quite ridiculous. moving that much stock can be difficult and very costly. if you don't sell kids clothes and only target adults, selling a well known brand makes a huge difference. don't bother with Select, TK Max, Next, Forever 21, Ralf Lauren, noone over there has heard of them. rather Nike, Puma, Armani. anyway, I can make a few enquiries for you if you want. costs, rents, wherebouts you can base your business, etc.

At online, We can find out the various online stores for the latest goods especially for the clothing section. I haven't experienced with the any stores which sales the used clothing. I think, While comparing to that, It will be better to buy low price clothes.

Why not sell the clothes online? thinking the whole factory concept might not be as usable as you first think! Theres a new-ish site called bradley street i think, they basically get second hand branded clothes, sort through them, and post them on there website and they've even opened a few stores. Its basically a glammed up charity shop!

Sorry for asking, but is this a profitable business if you are going to sell used clothes locally? I don't think the market is that big when you're going to sell this within the country. I suggest you export this to other countries where used clothing industry is big like in Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines...:)

You have two options regarding selling your used clothes. The first option is to sell the used clothes in bulk. You will get paid in kgs or tonnes, but the payment will not be much. The other option is to sell the used clothes one by one. This will bring you a lot of money. In the end, it's all about how much time and effort you want to put in this. To sell in bulk will be effortless. To sell the clothes one by one, you will need to sacrifice time and effort by listing them on online auctions and sending them to the customers.

Hi!

I think it would be beneficial for you if you gained some experience in the clothing industry before you open your franchise clothing boutique. However if you want to start right away you should start with researching the clothing market.
  • Visit clothing fairs and exhibitions to know the trends and styles that are popular. It's important because you want your stock to be sold. You don't want the wrong products that don't sell at all.
  • Look at your competitors and try to understand how they are working to succeed. Look at what products they sell, what channels they use to sell (by a brick and mortar shop or online shop or both) and how they reach their customers.
After you have done the research, you will know which franchise that will best suit your city, target group etc. When you have reached this stage you should look at how you could finance the franchise. Bear in mind that you will pay a pricey start-up fee. So you should look at what opportunities you have to get a bank loan.
