What is the best way of checking your sites position in Google UK to get an accurate result?

I would recommend Web CEO. It's offers a free version that help to improve your site ranking and enables you to check your possition. Google tools are also good. I would be interested to hear other peoples thoughts on Web CEO

I've been using the free version of Web Ceo for around 18 months for all my websites & businesses. It's extremely handy.

You can play around with keywords and content and compare if you're getting a higher rank or not. I probably use it about 2 hours a week, it's an excellent tool.

There are also firefox (if you're using that browser) addon's that are quite handy.

I've been using market samurai for about 4 months and it has enabled me to really get drive into my SEO. It far more than just finding your position, which is just one feature it has. It enable you to see the effect of what you are doing and tracks your progress.
