It is one of the most popular ways to get guaranteed traffic to website. You can make a video advertising about your niche and upload the same on the various popular video websites. The videos websites attract a lot of traffic. When people surf through the videos people would come across your video and chances are they would be your potential customers.

True. But you forgot one thing you have to optimize your video and only then you would get traffic.

Do you get paid for people visiting your site? If not, why are you set on getting more traffic? Say you're a typical/traditional florist based in a particular location in UK, your coverage area is a 20 mile radius of where you're based. Would a guy in Australia searching for pictures of pansies visiting your site be good for you? Surely to goodness what you want is a particular type of traffic? Namely, prospective customers? "Traffic" could easily contain zero prospects. You could have a million visits but if none of them are viable prospective customers what's the point? Even if you offer some digital item, therefore at least so far as doing business and delivery goes, you're location agnostic, there's still viable prospects and non-viable prospects, depending on what you're offering. Why aren't you asking how to increase visits to your site by people who are actually genuinely potential customers? Asking how to increase qualified traffic? Because surely that's the only worthwhile kind of traffic worth bothering with? And to do that, ask how to increase qualified traffic, you'd have to give some good background info on what you do and offer, and who your target audience are and knowledge about them, in order for anyone to be able to help. Otherwise what's the point?

Do something to get your business in the local press. Or even better, the national press. A great example of this is the Black Country Alphabet song, by myself + former colleagues at a t-shirt printing shop I used to help out at. We sold a LOT of t-shirts as a result of the song getting on to both the local TV news programmes, because everyone googled it.

get a t-shirt or hat or top printed with your company name or web site and your unique selling point, and just wear it around, go to free networking events and anywhere where you might find small businesses that might need your services.

as you are offering design services, the clothing would have to be done well and look good. the font needs to be large enough and clear enough so people can read it at a distance including the prices you are offering.

as long as the design looks good and people can see your prices from a distance, this should speak for itself. ideally print on the back of a top so people can read it without staring at you :)

hope that helps

regards

Tom

oh dear.

firstly, your website is on flash. google doesn't like flash. you'll never be anywhere near the front page for any keywords you want, other than your domain name.

you could try adwords, but you're in a competitive industry. you'll be paying lots for clicks.

Try creating a fan page or group page in Facebook and by tagging people you can increase your web presence.

er, no. businesses like yours dont really have a place on facebook. twitter, yes. get a twitter account, start following other graphic designers, design magazines, design websites, etc etc.

Base in my experience in twitter I make a blog in my profile and keep following people its a lot of help to increase a traffic in google.

it won't give you an increase in traffic, but may bring in leads by direct message, etc.

yellow pages - yeah, i think businesses would look at the yellow pages book if they had one when looking for a graphic design company. don't pay too much though.

get on your feet and on the phone. find SMALL local shops/businesses/groups etc that have really bad logos, flyers, whatever and ask if you can design something for them for free, in return for a link on their site, or ask them to pay for money.

don't bother going for businesses who employ more than 5+ people.

easy.

Submit your blogs to blog directories. Like URL submission sites, there are hundreds of blogs directory submission sites.

Blog Commenting When you visit a website, blog related to yours always leave comments that will direct people to your site, the reason is that search engines especially Google ranks a website that is linked to other websites which means that the website must have valuable content.

Blog Commenting When you visit a website, blog related to yours always leave comments that will direct people to your site, the reason is that search engines especially Google ranks a website that is linked to other websites which means that the website must have valuable content.

Afraid to say that this has very little impact, and in fact, can harm your traffic.

1) Google rates directories way, way down on the importance stakes becuase it knows they are only there to get links - most of the time, it ignores directories
2) Most of the directories are now out of date - unless you want to pay for an entry. Submit to a few, and you will see that it way say something like "Currently, 12,000 submissions pending, wait time is 987 days"
3) If you suddenly get a lot of links in a very short period of time, google will suspect you are link farms, and will give a negtive score to your links, harming your SEO
4) As for the blogs, yeeeees, it can work. But, an awful lot of effort for little in return. Most blogs have anti spam software and those comments that are just there for links will not get approved or will be deleted - I know they are on my blog.

As the previous poster said, organic indexing is far more effective.

As many have said, SEO marketing is where it's at right now.
It is not an easy thing to begin doing yourself so maybe speak to someone that can advise you on what to do.

I would suggest looking on elance dot com for SEO specialists. There you submit a advertisment looking for work with your budget and individuals/companies will submit proposals for you to accept at your pleasure. Many of these people have extensive knowledge of SEO marketing and can help you to get your website higher in Google's ranking system.
Ultimately, it may cost you a small amount but the amount of traffic that can be generated by this method is enormous. Traffic = exposure = (hopefully) customers.
