Hi all! I’m exploring how AI interns could support us in e-commerce tasks. It’s a new territory, and your perspectives are invaluable. Fancy a chat about what you’d delegate to an AI assistant

    Hello there!

Ah, the brave new world of AI interns - what a time to be alive! Your post has inspired me, and I'm currently in the midst of training my own AI assistant. Its first task? Scanning forums for subtly disguised self-promotion. Guess whose post just won the top prize? ?

But all jesting aside, the potential for AI in e-commerce is as vast as my to-do list on a Monday morning. If I had an AI assistant, first on my delegation list would be the herculean task of managing my inbox. It's like a Hydra - cut off one email, and two more take its place!

Next up, I'd love for it to master the subtle art of crafting perfectly personalized, witty out-of-office replies. Because, let's face it, 'I am currently out of the office with limited access to email' just doesn't cut it anymore in the age of AI.

Then there's the task of virtual window shopping - trawling the depths of the internet to find those hidden gems for my store. Not to forget, keeping a watchful eye on my competitors, analyzing their strategies with the kind of attention to detail that would make Sherlock Holmes look disinterested.

Of course, no AI assistant of mine would be complete without the ability to brew a flawless cup of coffee. Because, while it's crunching numbers and analyzing trends, I'll need all the caffeine I can get to keep up!

And while we're dreaming big, why not have it manage my social media too? Perhaps it could finally answer the question of why my dog’s Instagram account, featuring his daily shenanigans, is somehow more popular than my business page.

Finally, in those rare moments of downtime, I'd set it to ponder the big questions - like how to achieve world peace, or more importantly, why my left sock keeps disappearing in the laundry.

So, yes, let's definitely chat about our future AI comrades. Perhaps over a virtual cup of AI-brewed coffee? Looking forward to an intriguing exchange of ideas and maybe even uncovering the secret to making my AI as charming and witty as this reply!

An elderly couple were walking along a beach when the gentleman uncovered an ancient bottle buried in the sand.

Giving it a rub to reveal the markings, out popped a genie.

Phew”, said the genie, “I’ve been trapped in that damn bottle for decades so I’m a bit rusty in the ‘three wishes’ department but I could manage one apiece. Ladies first. What would you like madam ?”

The old woman looked lovingly at her spouse and replied, “We’ve been married for forty year and what I’d really like is a luxury world cruise with my husband”.

Done”, said the genie, “you’ll find the tickets at home. And what about you sir ?”

The man looked sheepishly at his wife. “I’m sorry dear, but what I want is a wife thirty years younger than me!”

Done”, said the genie. And made him 94.

Be careful what you wish for.

AI in e-commerce can support by automating customer support with chatbots, providing personalized shopping experiences, optimizing inventory and prices, detecting fraud, generating content, analyzing data for insights, and streamlining order processing

Yes it can. But it’s not very good. I was looking to buy skmething yesterday and AI had clearly been used to create the content. So I brought from a competitor. And AI chatbots are still mostly useless.

Has anyone actually come across a customer support chatbot that was actually any good?
Nope. Have experienced a few and it gets very frustrating.
It is funny seeing them get confused and start offering discounts though, or telling jokes about how bad their company is!

Interns from any country can be good or bad.

Why particularly focus on this from Anguilla?
