Calendar/Diary Plugin For Wordpress

Can anyone recommend a simple calendar/Diary for WP?

I want to post a number of items so visitors can see/be reminded of certain diary dates, e.g. bank holidays, in calendar or list format. If they can be recorded/posted as a custom post type, all the better.

I am not after an events calendar - I use a couple of them and they are probably overkill, however, I appreciate that I might have to end up using one.

Hi Paul, I would suggest using events, it seems to tick all the boxes of your query.
You probably already do use this but I'd recommend

The Events Calendar​

It's free but most importantly it allows clients to all the event to their calendar allowing for reminders etc.

I've used this on a couple of client sites:

It pulls the events from a Google calendar which means holidays and so on are automatically included.
