Buying from China

when you do purchase from china, make sure you use a currency broker to get the best possible rate, otherwise you will lose out as the banks take a huge margin from the interbank rate.

Can you recommend a broker?

I have an xe.com account. Would xe.com suffice as a "broker"?

It is not very difficult to order products from China, a few days of searching the many b2b portals on the internet and some e-mail correspondance will give you a good idea of which suppliers are suitable for you needs.
The tricky part can be to ensure the quality of your products and that production time does not exceed deadline. Many of our clients have already finished the first leg of their China sourcing venture. To complete the second stage and increase the chance of a successful production and purchase venture, they ask us to verify the factory and implement a QC system at the factory.
As many Chinese manufactures would never turn down an order, even with the order book fully booked, they will forward the production to several smaller shops and the quality error rate increases drastically.
Therefore it is very important to visit the manufacturer and be present during production.

Kind regards
