Sorry guys wouldn't ask but spent the last week trying to think of one - anything obvious is taken!

I run a post in repair service for mobile phones in general but a lot of work is apple products such as the iPhone.

Looking for something fun and mordern, relating directly to what i do - any suggestions are highly appreciated!

The SEO experts will probably say it doesn't matter as with all the smoke and mirrors they will direct people to you even if you are www.efiqrgfiqbnf.com

However, some people might think that to make a play on iphones, you will need to somehwo incorporate the word "iphone" into your name and website. I tend to agree with that train of thought.

If you agree, your first point of call is to see what names are available. I guess www.iphonerepair.com is taken.

Assuming your name isn't Jim, else I'd suggest 'Jim'll Fix It'

How about using the term Smart phone rather than iPhone?
Smartphonefix
Smartphonerepair

Or use the repair/fix word at the start on the suggestions above by others eg
Repairiphone
Fixiphone. (like this one, as it can be read as fixi phone or fix iPhone)

Or you could differentiate by putting a geographic detail in the name - what area does your service support, just local, or Uk wide, or Europe via secure post?

Ukiphonefix
Londoniphonerepairs

Personally I would suggest you stay away from anything with 'Apple' or 'iPhone' in the domain name as technically this would be trademark infringement and at risk of legal action (even if its unlikely).

Also you say your business is a general phone repair place that just happens to do mostly Apple products - another reason to use a more generic name that avoids closing off even a small part of your market.

Personally I quite like Christines suggestion of 'FirstAid4Phones'.

My suggestions would be:

ThePhoneHealer.co.uk
TheMobileHealer.co.uk
Phone999.co.uk
PhoneAmbulance.co.uk
MobilePhoneMedic.co.uk

My suggestions are:
FixFixPhone
FixFixPhones
FixFixMobi
FixFixMobile
FixFixMobiles

All .com and .co.uk are currently available. You could trade/brand your service as FixFix and register the domains and point to whichever main one you choose.

Ifixem .co.uk and .net is also available, but probably a bit too generic for your sector.

Hope these help.

Haha it's a great one but i don't wanna tie myself to fixing any old phone! Mind you webuyanycar do not actually buy any car, lol.

You're missing the point I think. You need to drive business to your website, not pre select. You then turn away that which you cannot undertake or perhaps outsource it to someone who can take care of it.

As you rightly say, WBAC do not actually offer to buy everything but they give everyone the chance to ask for an offer.

We have a guy in our building who's called xxx's iphone repairs (xxx being his first name).

He has the word iphone in his domain name too and also his van signage has the silver apple logo on it.

That only means apple have not caught up with him using 'iphone' Its still a breach of trade mark I would think. Unless he has their express permission to use their logo.
