Aside from keeping myself busy in business, I love outdoor adventure like skiing, hiking and snowboarding. When I can't go out, I spent time at the gym... working out.

Earl, manufacture and creation can't exist without sales. How much does your SEO, Car leasing (mostly mercs!) and importing clothes from China to sell back to China help the UK economy, manufacture and employment?

Yesterday was dreadful in my shop - had the worst days takings so far this year
As I have already done the VAT return (not sent the form & money off though - will leave that for another few days!) I didn't really have a great deal I could do.
But I'm lucky as when we are quiet I just make stuff .... have had a couple of new designs in my head for my handpainted wine glasses for ages but not had the chance to actually do it, so had a play with one of the designs yesterday which has worked well.
Have also started "tweaking" a bit of old stock (I suppose you could call it up-cycling) in a bid to sell stuff that has been sitting around for a while.
Have deliveries coming in over the next few days with new stuff so that will keep me busy making new displays, pricing up etc and then sticking it on FB and website.

Not at all. There are competitors on this here website and i've seen them pop their heads up from time to time, snoop at some posts and then disappear again
On a forum it is best to keep your anonymity. As i said in another thread (which came over heavy handed) I don't like people snooping and googling everything about me just to prove a point and then publishing our address information on a forum. It has happened before and it has lead to problems in the past when people get the address wrong

Transfer land line calls to my mobile and go fishing. Can deal with any calls, emails etc all from my blackberry. Any resultant paperwork can be done on my return.
Although I don't do that very often, but the odd day or two here or there does no harm (especially when you have a few clients who like fishing also and I can call it a business trip!)

First you need a decent laptop/computer (even indecent at a push) then log into secondlife. There you can build a shop and sell stuff and even cam up the skirts of customers in splendid privacy. Bank your takings into paypal....

Thats a brilliant effort 6 years of lost in a month, 24 is the one for me, finished the first season in a day and a half, stopping only for food and personal breask, the square eyes and migraine was so worth it!

I think you should start website design and SEO as we don't have nearly enough of these
Now I've made three websites of my owe and done all the seo myself. So I feel I may be over qualified.
But then again, cold calling flogging web design and seo could be the way to go.

If you're any good at SEO make yourself a nice brochure website promoting your services and get yourself on LinkedIn. Loads of people looking for cheap SEO services (backlinks, content editing and the likes). Having said that, if you are any good at SEO then build yourself an online business and SEO it - loads of affiliate/drop shipping opportunities if you can drive traffic to a website (and no stock to hold or fulfillment of orders).

I think the SEO market is flooded and in serious danger. Only the very strong will survive.
It's almost become the online version of a gift, flower shop or florists in that everyone thinks wow I could do that and they must be wadded.
They then go on to simply dilute what precious little business there was in the first place while the original shop was actually desperate and waiting for a break in their lease whilst debted up to the eyeballs so their customers wouldn't see they were struggling.
