Hi All,
I wonder whether you could give me a few tips/pointers. After having a look at the product link below.

I run an online special occasion books store. I have recently noticed we are getting returns back from people who aren't looking at the size of the book before purchase, then sending the books back saying the reason for return is 'THE BOOK IS TOO SMALL'.

For the life of me I don't no what to do anymore, I've tweeked for months with no change, other than put 'please read the sizes' in big letters on each product.

Am I missing something?? doing something I can't see as I've been looking at the site too long, or is it just people don't read and never will? It's not just one or two products it's random.

Can anybody recommend anyway to try to stop this happening????
Your opinions would be fabulous :D

If you put the actual book sizes on the cart when people are checking out under the title this may help or have you already tried that?

Example
Bright White Leather Wedding Guest Book
APPROX BOOK SIZE - 12 x 23

Hi Sarah,

We have similar problems with a number of products. We've tried putting sizes in the cart as well as on the product page, but this makes no difference at all.

The only solution which we've found works is to have a context photo - a photo which clearly shows the item next to an everyday item.

You can have this as your primary product shot or as a secondary.

In your case, how about a photo of a hand, writing in the book?

My husband said try this but I was dubious :|:|
If you think it has helped you I'm going to give it a go.
We have a photo shoot on Monday and I'm going to try it on one or two of the problem products.

It made a big difference on our problem products, and I'd be surprised if it didn't work for you.

I would suggest making sure that the photo is visible on the product page, rather than hidden away in "More Images".
