Blogging advice SEO's

Hi,

I have started looking into blogging as a way of generating SEO. Does anyone know if this works and if it is a tactic anyone has used.

It depends where the blog is. If it's part of your site then the posts can rank well but it won't help the ranking of the rest of the site.

If the blog is off site then the SEO benefits are virtually nil unless the blog itself is popular, respected, has loads of high ranking posts and so on.
