I wanted to know what would be the best way to check my google page ranking ?
at the moment im searching keywords in google to see what page im on but im assuming there must be a easier way.

They may give you an indication of general ranking and might be useful for trending but they will never be accurate.

Bit of a controversy over this tool but semalt.com - I've found it gives pretty accurate ranking results. Worth a try anyway - i believe they have a free trial.

100% Semalt.com I use that tool and yes although there is controversy surrounding the the company in terms of referral traffic their software and pricing is nothing compared to SEMRush and Moz.com

Rank tracker by seo power suite is pretty much the best one you can get, but it is expensive if your not in the business.
semalt.com is probably the most annoying tool in the world. Hate that it comes on on my analytics's all the time!

The best way would be using Google Master Tools.
for a quick reference you can check on serplab your domain and keywords.

I use an Incognito window which I remove history from regularly to ensure my results aren't depending on recent search history. It's time consuming but it does seem to work. Maybe I'll look into some of these suggestions on here for a change!

None of the tools will ever give you accurate results. There are far too many variables involved. At best you can use then as a tool to look for trends buts that about it.

Do some testing with all the tools, if they were any good they would all proviude the same results as you swee when you do a search. They don't. Which tells you all you need to know about these tools.

There are so many you're spoiled for choice. Go for a cheap option, use Serpbook to monitor ranking on certain keywords and SemRush to find out what you are ranking for. Look around, you can get 2 weeks free with them if you know where!
