What printer is good for printing pics, documents and scans?

Not looking for something that costs less than it costs to keep in ink or toner. Needs to scan as well.

Hi AWA

Over the last 15+ years we have been using Brother A3 Multi-function machines and they have been absolutely fault-less, even printing high-res photos too.

They scan great, print quick and dont cost a ton to refill them.

Our current one's (We have 7 of them) are now in their 11th year and still going strong, and having recommended them to others, have only ever heard good things back.

Replacing the cartridge's via Amazon costs about £30 to £35 for the high yield ones and they last ages.

Prior to these ones, we tried several HP multi-function machines with non lasting more than 14 months at the most.

Have setup quite a few for customers too now and the newer setup installs and wi-fi works perfect. Very impressed, and they keep an entire back-catalogue of software on their website so if you need the drivers or software 10 years from now, you will very likely be able to get it at no cost.

If our current ones ever break down, we will be going with another brother :)

For affordability a Brother, Epson or Canon ink tank is good. Ink refills cost like £10 each colour and can print up to 5000 pages.
I’ve a canon g3400 and epson l382 and they do all you need above and go forever before you need to refill.
I’ve had issues with poor build quality on Hp so won’t recommend.
