Anyone a member or heard of them?
Seems similar to the way BNI run, or I could be mistaken, I've been asked to join by a colleague (who gets pulled into these sort of things easily)
This one seems a bit different though,
Any thoughts?

You need to clarify what BBX you mean - there might be a couple e.g. then barter system, which is nothing like a networking group!

Where are you based? Why would you want to join?

BBX is a global community of businesses who use a complimentary currency to trade their goods and services with each other and extract value from their spare capacity.

Reasons that a company would be part of the community are broad but include....
Wish to improve cashflow
The company has unrealised spare capacity they want to get customers to fill
The company wants to improve profits
Gaining a competitive edge in your market place.

Check out their bbxuk website for some testimonial videos to see some user comments.

I became a member of BBX a couple of years ago and have struggled massively to actually spend any ‘bbx pounds’.

Every single person/business owner I’ve contacted have said the same thing “sorry... can’t take the order as I can’t spend the money I have”.

I’ve got over £5k in my account which I fear will sit there for along time.

They have tried to help me spend but I don’t need printing/marketing/websites as that is what i offer.

So... think long and hard before you sign up or before you do maybe speak to a few people in it who you may want to buy off to see if that’s actually possible.

Hi UKBF, I was wondering if you've had any further success in spending your BBX since your last post?

BBX is a big scam. Joined them many years ago, no jobs whatsoever and asked them tens of times to close my account but no replied whatsoever. The time passes and haven’t heard anything else until now.

Just a couple of months ago, after 5 years or so, they ask me for more than £1k in membership and have sent a debt recovery after me.
I never got anything from them but one gangster from the office arrogantly asked me: “didn’t you know what we agreed when you signed the papers?”
Guys, please say away or get in touch with real businesses who use this BBX before you sign anything.

Got contacted by these guys. They mentioned on the phone about being a supplier and they have a community of people who need my services. But is was very broad and unclear. I don't think they even know what is being offered. Their sales guys simply want the commission from referrals deposited money (Bitconnectttttt?).

Found their domain via the email (bbxuk.com).

Absolutely screams MLM/Ponzi. Reminds me of Bitconnect back in the day which I actually exposed on Youtube. Put your money in, never get it out.

Be warned people of UKBF as there's a high chance they found my contact info here.

    Hi

Appreciate that this is an old post, but if you are still available I'd like a quick 5 minute phone call about this. It might either save me some time and money or at least clarify things for me.

    Thanks

It operates on a barter exchange model, which is a bit different from BNI's pure referral networking. It can work well if you have spare capacity or stock to trade, but it really depends on whether the other members offer services your business can use.
