average spend on temp recruitment agencies

I'm looking for any insight into how much businesses typically spend on temporary recruitment agencies each year.

Company my wife works for probably in excess of 2.5 million a year.
There's at least one company spending probably 20+ times that.

Not sure what use an average spend on recruitment agencies per year will make to you. For businesses the average spend on a cost per year does not usually change their own spend on that cost. Is your company aiming to reach the average figure itself for a ritual or cultural reason?

Just general curiosity more than anything as temp recruitment such a big industry

Logistics.
An industry that uses lots of temps.
