Anyone else from the North West?

Hi

Just a quick note to introduce myself.
I am Sam and have really just moved up here. I was wondering if there is any meeting where local business would meet just to network in and around North Manchester?

Thanks

Sam

I think business this year is slower than last year. Although I wasnt in manchester last year, but from speaking to other business people in the area, they are saying the same thing. The post office I used last year, in Birmingham was really busy, this year they have the time to watch the flys.

Hi everyone, new member just joined site.

I've recently taken voluntary redundancy from Lloyds TSB as a financial Adviser and its not until look around at other financial advice opportunities at how poor bank advice was in comparison.

After meeting with around 10 different firms (mostly self employed) I have decided that St James Place wealth management was the best choice for me personally to provide most areas of financial advice / wealth management.

Most banks now will only be servicing customers with over 100-150k minimum to invest leaving average investors with 15-100k with nobody to provide a service to so a perfect opportunity. We all realise that interests are still rock bottom so making use of investments over the medium term is a better time than ever even if only looking to utilise your ISA allowance and making use of any tax savings available.

Other areas advice is vital is protection of your income, family, mortgage needs. Pensions - majority of people will be left with a shortfall in what they would like to ideally have to live on come retirement.

For those with sole estates of more than £325,000 or joint of more than £650,000 inheritance tax is something that with the correct planning can be avoided with the right advice and for many busy professionals many of these areas can easily be overlooked but need to hold high importance.

Feel free to contact me if anybody would be interested in a free no obligation meeting to assess your personal situation and to see if would be interested in taking any advice further with myself and chosen companys offerings.

:)

Afternoon North West.

I do web development and graphic design as part of a two man team. Things are quiet and slow at the moment but we are hoping to market our services locally and get a few clients and hopefully some referals there after. It would be nice that it grew into a viable full time income, but we're quite a way off that yet.

Hopefully here I can find some great advice, and offer up my own advice to others looking for information in my field.
