Advice please for a wannabe

Apologies, as i am sure this has come up before
i am buying a new business that already has some sort of ''a delivery to your door' of products sold in its retail shop but the delivery side is for a few customers who know about it, and i want to tap up those people in chimney pots buying the product elsewhere cos' they are unaware of this delivery service
i want to build a website with the products so i can sell online
i want to create social media side to promote the website

All i need to do is learn the whole process of both so i can link together as i don't know how to do these things - easy i know! NOT if you have no knowledge.

Is there any books out there, or websites that cover both of these topics and how it all interacts, and how to get started on this project.

Also, does anybody know how advertising through local rags compares to leaflet drops, compares to social media as to best return for my money.

Sorry, I know what a chimney pot is, but I don't understand what you mean here? Are people in chimney pots people who live in houses?

You are going about things the wrong way.

Find out how to do things then do them. Don't jump off the cliff and hope to build a plane on the way down!

Take time to learn one thing at a time. Research about it, don't do it out of impulse.

For what you do not know there are books, there are sites, there are videos etc. May want to have a website created for you - once you know what you want. You can do it yourself from scratch but do you have the time to learn that while learning everything else?

When you create your website, make sure that it's also friendly to mobiles and tablets. It's important because many people nowadays use their mobiles and tablets to browse the internet. You should also have links on your website that link to your social media. On your social media sites, you should have links to your website. Also make sure that you put the business on Google Local.
