Advice on finding a business partner

I started a small business this year importing & designing baby/kids clothes, upmarket, organic & cool designs...I had to give up a successful career in gift sales through injury, so it's not as if I haven't got heaps of contacts and I invested a substantial amount of money in the start-up. However, despite starting really enthusiastically, gaining sales from trade fairs and independents, online etc. I'm now struggling with the motivation to continue. I have the stock, built the website, started the social media, done the trade fairs but I need some mentoring/partnering input......is there anyone out there ?

Then follow those who are involved in Fashion.

And ask some questions and learn from what they tell you.

thanks JandJC, yes I do follow fashion and related businesses, bloggers etc....
generating sales is my problem, obviously fundamental I know....I think it's more about my mindset, not the products as they clearly sell.
It seems so difficult to keep the marketing motivation going.
I'm used to calling on customers and selling but it's a lot harder when it's your own business and I'm not brilliant at sm.

Do you have a Facebook page? If not get one done.

If you have a personal Facebook page then tell your friends that your launching another one for your products - and start writing interesting things about your business and how good your friends look with your products around them.

Just take some time and chill when you tackle this task.

yes have just created a fb and twitter page, slow progress as I'm pretty useless but my daughter helped put together twitter.
I guess I should take your advice, chill and be patient!

It's hard sometimes when it is you on your own and looking at what does need to be done in all area's of the business and finding it to much.

But remember you are working for yourself and you are the boss.

You have taken the plunge and started something from stratch which is an achievement in its self and not everyone as the drive to really do it.
